Dave Chappelle announces a pair of Bay Area stand-up dates for next week

ComedianDave Chappellehas announced a pair of stand-up shows at Luther Burbank Center for the Arts in Santa Rosaon July 26-27, following the surprise Netflix special called “What’s in a Name?” that was dropped this month.

Tickets for the Santa Rosa dates go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, at ticketmaster.com. Like all Chappelle shows, there is a strict “no cell phone” policy.

The newly announced shows will occur ahead of the premiereBlue Note Jazz FestivalNapa Valley, set to take place at the Charles Krug Winery in St. Helena on July 30-31. Chappelle is scheduled to host part of the concert slated to feature Grammy-winning pianist and festival artist in residence Robert Glasper, as well as guests including Erykah Badu, Ledisi, D Smoke, Terrace Martin and BJ the Chicago Kid.
