There are lots of trashy movies, but every so often one rises to the level of trash nirvana, where even 25 years later, people still remember it and talk about it fondly.
Such is the case of “Wild Things,” an intricately plotted 1998 film thatseemsto be about a high school girl (Denise Richards) with a crush on her teacher who, when he sexually rejects her, seeks revenge by accusing him of sexual assault. But that’s just the beginning. This movie is wild and features fun performances across the board, with Theresa Russell and Bill Murray notable in featured roles, plus Neve Campbell showing a dark side that audiences never knew she had.
This is pure fun, entirely without any redeeming social value.
