Amid countless coronavirus-induced layoffs and cancellations in the arts, PlayGround’s Zoom Fest has emerged as a small but mighty bright spot, employing 140 actors (some for one day, others for a full week) as well as the playwrights, directors and designers the company would have used if its 25th anniversary festival had taken place in person.
