Having already revealed thatDave Chappellewould return as the host of theBlue Note Jazz Festival Napa Valley— despite his long list of complaints last year — organizers announced the full lineup for the second installment of the concert in Northern California’s exclusive Wine Country on Tuesday, April 4.

Mary J. Blige, Nas and Chance the Rapper are headlining the festival. Other notable acts on the bill include Anderson .Paak’s side-project NxWorries,Gary Clark Jr.,George Clintonand Parliament-Funkadelic, Rakim and DJ Jazzy Jeff, Talib Kweli and Madlib, Terrace Martin, Yussef Dayes, Cory Henry, Cordae, Digable Planets, andTaylor McFerrinand Marcus Gilmore with special guestBobby McFerrin.

Taking place from July 28-30 atSilverado Resort, the Napa edition of the Blue Note Jazz Festival boasts an eclectic lineup, with Robert Glasper once again serving as artist-in-residence. Glasper plans to perform alongside De La Soul, Lalah Hathaway, Bilal and other special guests.

For his part, Chappelle helps introduce each artist between sets, often taking his time providing mini comedic stand-up bits.

The festivities are expected to continue each night with after-parties hosted byBig Freediaand 9th Wonder on July 28, DJ Jazzy Jeff on July 29, and .Paak’s all-vinyl set under his DJ Pee Wee alter ego on July 30.

Tickets for the Blue Note Jazz Festival Napa Valley and after-parties go on sale at 9 a.m. Friday, April 7, via the festival website.

Glasper and Chappelle also hosted the2022 edition of the festival, performing on all three nights of the event at the Charles Krug Winery in St. Helena, which the comedian derided as a “dusty ass field” during an onstage rant over the venue’s strict 10 p.m. curfew.
