Invader Zim returned to screens with a new movie that perfectly captured the spirit of the original cartoon. The stakes are what they always are, with Zim ineptly trying to take over the Earth in the name of an alien empire that couldn’t care less about him. He’s fought by his old nemesis, Dib Membrane, who wants to stop Zim almost as much as he wants to prove to his father that aliens are real.
All the over-the-top humor and weirdness is present, as if Zim never left in the first place.
