Carlos Santanais “doing very well” after passing out onstage during a concert in Michigan this week, according to an update from his wife,Cindy Blackman Santana.

The Grammy-winning guitaristwas rushed to the emergency department from his show at Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston, Mich. after collapsing during his performance on Tuesday, July 5. He later blamed the episode on forgetting to eat and drink.

“Carlos & I thank you so much for your prayers, love, care & concern for him!” Blackman Santana wrote in aFacebookpost Wednesday. “Please know that he’s resting and doing very well! He was diagnosed with heat exhaustion & dehydration … it was 100 degrees on stage and 114 under the lights so that coupled with not enough water is what caused the issue. He’ll be as good as new soon!”
