After postponing theNorth American dates of his farewellNo More Tours 2tourseveral timesdue to a variety of health issues,Ozzy Osbournehas canceled the remainder of his 2020 outing, including his scheduled stop atShoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View on July 25.
In January, Osbourne revealed he hasParkinson’sdisease, which he said was first diagnosed in 2003. He said he plans to go to Europe for treatment.
“I’m so thankful that everyone has been patient because I’ve had a s— year,” Osbourne said in a statement on Monday, Feb. 17. “Unfortunately, I won’t be able to get to Switzerland for treatment until April and the treatment takes six-eight weeks.”
TheBlack Sabbathfrontman and solo star was originally slated to take his farewell tour across North America in 2018, but he was forced to push the dates back after suffering a bout with pneumonia, a fall at home and ongoing medical issues from anear-fatal ATV accidentin 2003.
“I don’t want to start a tour and then cancel shows at the last minute, as it’s just not fair to the fans,” Osbourne said. “I’d rather they get a refund now and when I do the North American tour down the road, everyone who bought a ticket for these shows will be the first ones in line to purchase tickets at that time.”
To that end, refunds for the No More Tours 2 concerts are available at the original point of purchase and fans购买蜱虫ets for this tour will have first access to tickets when it is rescheduled.
Despite the setback, Osbourne plans to continue working. Coming off the success ofa Top 10 single last fall in “Take What You Want,” with Post Malone and Travis Scott, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and former reality television star plans to release his first new solo album in a decade, “Ordinary Man,” on Friday, Feb. 21.
