珍珠果酱has canceled upcoming tour dates in Sacramento and Las Vegas after another band member tested positive for the coronavirus.
The band“battled through”its dates in Oakland last week with guest musicians after drummer Matt Cameron was diagnosed with COVID-19,but now bassistJeff Amentis also infected,according to a message to fans posted to Twitter.
The loss of another key member has forced Pearl Jam to scrap its concerts inSacramento on Wednesday, May 18, and Las Vegas on Friday, May 20.
“This is horrible for everybody involved and we are especially sorry to those out there who have made plans to attend these shows. Our attention to staying inside the bubble has been constant. We have truly done all that we could have to remain clear of infection. Regretfully, the Sacramento and Las Vegas shows are canceled. Ticket refunds will be automatically processed to ticket holders’ method of purchase. We are so very sorry. Be safe out there.”

Since Cameron tested positive for the virus on Thursday, May 12, Pearl Jam has relied on touring guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, Ament collaborator Richard Stuveru and the band’s original drummer Dave Krusen to fill in on the drum kit. In Oakland, the band even called onteen drummerKai Neukermans from Mill Valley to fill in on one song.

This is horrible for everybody involved and we are especially sorry to those out there who have made plans to attend these shows.
