Murphy’s San Francisco residency at the Chapel was originally scheduled for the summer of 2017 but was postponed after doctors discovered nodules on his vocal cords. The residency was postponed twice more in 2018, with Murphy citing visa issues, pushing the concert dates into 2019.

The singer-songwriter is now scheduled to perform each of his solo albums in its entirety over 14 non-consecutive nights, including 1989’s “Deep,” 1992’s “Holy Smoke,” 1995’s “Cascade,” 2002’s “Dust” and 2011’s “Ninth.” Murphy said he also plans to play Bauhaus songs with former bandmate David J.

Last month, he tacked on additional San Francisco performances: one show with David J at the Regency Ballroom on March 29, and two “Peter Murphy pays tribute to David Bowie” concerts scheduled for March 26-27 as part of his residency at the Chapel.
