Porno for Pyros, the band led byPerry Farrellof Jane’s Addiction, has delayed its reunion tour set to commence next week.

The decision to postpone its first full tour since 1997, including a show at theMasonic在圣弗朗西斯co on Tuesday, Oct. 10, was announced onsocial media. The platinum-selling band, best known for the single “Pets,” cited the need to finish work on new material as the reason for pushing back the shows for “a few months.”

“We are beyond thankful for all of your support these last 30 years and are anxious to celebrate our 30th anniversary with you,” Porno for Pyros wrote on Sunday, Oct. 1. “Whilst rehearsing for our first tour in 25 years, we’ve also been in the studio creating new music — that we were hoping to get to you in time for these shows.”

The statement continued, “Unfortunately, we have had to move the dates for the upcoming tour as we were not able to begin our campaign in time. So, we’ve pushed the tour a few months from now, in order for everyone to hear and appreciate the new material that is finally finished.”

Tickets for the affected shows will be honored on the rescheduled dates. Refunds can be obtained at the original point of purchase.

Farrell formed Porno for Pyros in 1992, shortly after Jane’s Addiction initially broke up, with drummer Stephen Perkins, guitarist Peter DiStefano and bassist Martyn LeNoble. The band was put on hold after Jane’s Addiction reunited in 1997.

“Listen up for the new music in the upcoming weeks and keep an eye out for new tour dates. We’re coming!” the band promised.
